Welcome to
Country View Cabin

Escape to our cozy cabin in the Maine woods with NO cleaning fees! Nestled on a private acre, you are just 3 miles from the sparkling waters of Schoodic Lake and Knight's Landing boat launch. Adventures are right up the road with instant access to hiking, biking, and ATV/snowmobile trails. Inside, relax in a wood-beamed haven complete with a fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a charcoal grill for perfect evening cookouts. The perfect spot to explore by day and unwind by night!

Ever wanted to live in a Hallmark movie—minus the dramatic breakup? This is your spot. Our cabin is the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. It’s designed for those who want to feel like an outdoorsy explorer while mostly looking for a premium spot to nap.

The primary bedroom is your ultimate cozy retreat, featuring a plush queen bed, a relaxing recliner, and warm reading lights. Unwind at the end of the day by the glow of your own private electric fireplace.

The second bedroom, officially dubbed "The Fort" Room, is outfitted with a twin-over-double bunk bed. It is a slumber party headquarters for kids, but we won’t tell if adults use it to hide, too.

The Chef’s Corner: Our kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, fridge, freezer, and all the cookware you need to whip up hearty post-adventure meals. It is the perfect setup for everything from pancake breakfasts to late-night snacks.

The Coffee & Tea Bar: Brew a fresh cup at our dedicated coffee and tea bar—because "roughing it" should never, ever include caffeine withdrawal. Whether you need a strong morning kickstart before hitting the trails or a soothing evening blend, we have your daily rituals covered.

Your Private Oasis: Step outside onto your private deck, where you are completely surrounded by peaceful forest views. Furnished with outdoor furniture, it is the perfect spot for sipping your morning coffee or getting lost in a good book. In the evening, fire up the charcoal grill for a classic woodland cookout under the stars.

The "No-Stress" Driveway: Struggle with backing up trailers? We’ve got you. Our horseshoe driveway lets you enter on one road and exit on the other without ever touching the reverse gear.

Gear Heaven: The Mud Room is a big space designed specifically so you don't track the entire Maine forest into the living room. The floor is concrete, perfect for all your muddy fishing and hiking gear. We even have hangers specifically made to hang your fishing poles.

The one car garage is a secure place to keep your "toys" (boats, ATVs, or snowmobiles) safe and dry. Because nobody likes a soggy jet ski.

The stunning Schoodic Lake and amazing trails are just up the road. Whether you’re looking to catch a trophy fish, hit the trails, or just stand in a field and scream into the void, you’ve officially found the right place.

Great place had some things come up so had to leave early deff would book here again to be able to check everything out in the surrounding area. It was really cool that they had a folder with a lot of local recommendations there!

A cute little cabin to put your feet up at night with your loved ones when you’re in the Brownville area, very clean inside and the host Matt communicates with his guests extremely well! My husband and I will definitely be back the next time we’re up there.

My husband and I traveled with another couple to Brownville Maine for a 3 day mini vacation this week. We would like to say our stay at Country View Cabin could only be described as delightful. Located in a very quiet, beautiful rural area, nestled among the rolling hills west of Bangor and only a couple of miles from the gorgeous Schoodic Lake. The cabin was very inviting, nicely decorated with impeccable taste, comfortable beds and all amenities needed to enjoy as a home away from home while on a Maine adventure. They also provided water, snacks, coffee, tea and even home made dog biscuits for our four footed pets. We would like to give our hosts a 5 star plus rating and recommend their beautiful cabin to anyone searching for a vacation or a stay-cation destination in the beautiful state of Maine.

Have you ever had that peaceful feeling when first walking into a new space? I have experienced just that very phenomenon.

Truthfully, the only real place that I experience true peace is in my own sweet home. Yet walking into this dear cottage gave me sense of being fully familiar and a place where I could relax. I happened to take a quick survey of the space and almost immediately my eyes were drawn to the cutest drop leaf table. Above it and the chairs was a country sign that read: "Welcome Home." Just about the cutest and coziest place ever.

We were traveling with a beloved couple for a little mini vacation. We each had our own accommodating bedrooms and an inviting living/dining space where we could all spend time together. The kitchen had the cutest little coffee/tea area sporting country inspired mugs nicely displayed on a lattice frame. A whole glass jar full of coffee beckoned me each morning complete with everything I needed. A full sized coffee maker sat right there- not a mini sized Individual cup maker typical of motels nowadays. Truly I sat there and savored our morning time together.... with our dear friends... AND what I like to think of as the "cottage coffee nook."

It was as if everything we needed was right there but all with the feel that one was truly welcomed home and meant to be there!

It was a gift of an experience. I am most appreciative of the work that the owners put into their accommodations. Thank you seems a small thing to say!
